I'm still stumped on which one of these processors to get for only one reason now. I hear that the AMD XP supports SSE instructions so it is optimized for TMPEG but the MP processors are the ones that work in dual configurations. I'm trying to decide which two to purchase in the long run. I plan to use TMPEG to convert mostly uncompressed AVI files and I would like to be able to use the filter options as well to help clean up and restore some of the older videos I will be working with. I'm going for speed AND quality here. I know some amount of time will be required to produce a better image but I am still interested in getting the most bang for the buck. Thanks.
