  1. I have several old Panasonic PV-D4752 VCR/DVD combo decks with bad internal DVD players. These things look modular but don't know where I'd find replacements for them. Anyone know a supplier for something like this?

You won't find a supplier since most are junk and not worth repairing, best to get a standalone blu-ray player which are going for $40 on sale and getting a hifi vcr from a thrift shop for $5,much better than combo units.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

That model is going on 13 years old. After that many years, nobody is going to stock the correct replacement part anymore. I doubt that they would be worth repairing anyway.

  4. I don't know, I've been told by a couple of repair shops that they can be fixed for about $100.00 which seems too high.

Considering parts & labor, that is LOW (yet appropriate) for what they have to do. That is still TOO HIGH to want to put money into something you could replace with a newer, more improved product at half the cost.

They may have old units on hand that they can rob for spare parts. In any case it is foolish to spend $100 to repair 13-year old unremarkable consumer electronics that can easily be replaced with something newer for less money. With something that old, it is likely that something else will go wrong with it not long after you have it back from the repair shop.
