    Say I am the owner of two different websites web1.com and web2.com with the alexa ranks 100k and 10k respectively.

    Now is there any way to transfer or improve web1 's rank using web2 's traffic?
    of course I can redirect web2 to point to web1 but that is not what I want as I really want to keep the contents of both websites, one way I was thinking of is to move web2 to be a subdomain of web1 something like

    web2.com --> sub.web1.com

    this way I still have both websites valid but the only thing I am not sure about it, is the traffic of a subdomain counts toward the main domain, I asked this question before but have not got a clear answer yet...

    thanks for your help

    Aren't there any web help sites that you can go to? I have yet to see you post any true video related questions. Even the conversion questions that you asked are more web-related than video-related. That is why your questions get no responses, or the responses are links to other sites. zoobie gave you a link before. Try shopping over there. If you have any true video-related questions, you can get tons of help here, provided you read a couple of guides and stickies. Otherwise, it is in you best interest to go to one of those specifically web help sites. Consider this an intervention.

    You may be new here, but it's obvious that you know how things work on web sites (search, relevance, etc.), but are just too lazy (your own words) to find out the answers on your own.

    Do a little research on these simple questions. There's this marvelous new tool called Google that can help you get started..

    Let's not forget that Alexa statistics are only gathered from people who have downloaded and installed the Alexa toolbar. And since the toolbar is only for Internet explorer, you don't get statistics from people using other browsers like Firefox or Safari, and no statistics from Macintosh users. So in a nutshell, Alexa results are totally worthless, bogus, and not at all an accurate way to measure a site's metrics.

    @Supreme2k

    Yes I am new here and thanks for the worm welcome-words, this is the first time i see a mod asking his visitors to go somewhere else!

    I do have (not one but) a few video-related websites that is why sometimes I post here. I have seen many non-video related topics in off-topic section and I thought it is okay to post whatever you need here.
    Regarding the laziness, well the whole point of using forums is about helping each others why should I let someone spend hours or may be days for something that I know of and I can help

    Ps: after all, I think most of you are webmasters therefore I don't see anything wrong to ask questions that are not-directly related to videos but related to your day-to-day work especially if it is in off-topic section.

    Anyhow if you think this forums is not ideal for me then this is my last post here...

    Yes, but all of your questions are more web site related, not video.

    You aren't helping anyone. You're trying to get help from your own laziness.

    No. Most people on this site are not web masters. That is why most of your questions get little to know response (or answers).

    Exactly. It is not ideal for you. You'd be better helped by the link zoobie gave you.

    You'll need to create SEO-compliant .htaccess 301 redirects, and it can takes months for the Google PR to carry over.

    I don't think Alexa carries over.
