I've just upgraded to windows Xp 64 and re-installed Pinnacle Studio 11 ultimate.
Today I tried to cature a movie in the usual way from my camcorder with Pinnacle Sudio Moviebox DV through the fire wire connection but Pinnacle studio did not start capturing as it did prior to migration to Widows Xp 64.
Firewire cature with Windows Movie Maker works without any problem so it's not a cable or Moviebox problem.
The funny thing that Pinnacle studio can capture analogue through the 3 pin comnnection. It looks like Pinnacle studio is not recognising digital signals - only analogue.
I've gone through the settings option but could not find any settings to adjust.
Anyone having the same problem?
Any solution please?

It may be a 64bit issue for v11.

I have eliminated the Moviebox and connected directly to the computer motherboard firewire socket and it works now.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I'll try capuring via WinDV - looks like a simple and solid litttle software from the postive feedback from other users.
The simpler and less complicated software the better!

WinDV is mostly a control panel over DirectShow.
