I've used DVDShrink more than 30 times over the past few years without problem. This week, after about 3 months of not using DVDShrink, the computer shuts off without warning about 50% (about 12 minutes) into the "analyze" stage. It does not nicely power down; one second it's on and the next second it's off. This has not happened on any other program that lasts a long time unattended, for example a virus scan. After this kind of crash, I push the power button, and the computer appears to start up normally. I can't think of anything that I have changed to cause this (but I'm not computer wise) except possibly updating to SP 3 in Windows XP Professional about a month ago. My efforts to fix the problem have been fruitless: running anti-virus and malware programs; setting the power saver to "never"; uninstalling and reinstalling DVDShrink itself. I'm hoping for suggestions.
