    Hi all

I am a little new to capturing. I need a usb type capture card to capture video from my camcorder but good enough that it will be able so save the capture for dvd quality on tv.

Can anyone give any advise or specific devices or software to use

    Many thanks

    Glenn

    What camcorder format?

A good choice is Hauppauge PVR-250/350 or other PVR series.

Here is one of many choices. Dazzle is a USB device to capture video from camera.

OK then analog. The cards I recommended are tried and true. Many others have issues that will waste your time.
If you want USB, look at a used WinTV-PVR-USB2

Screen size? You mean resolution? For camcorder or TV I'd go 720x576. For VHS capture, 352x576 is an option.
