Having had a bad experience with a Pioneer DVD recorder (burner needed to be replaced, with thanks to all the advice I recieved from the members ,managed to get a second hand one and changed over the circuit board). I was concerned that the Sony might have the same problem. I did read somewhere that the Sony is really a Pioneer. What I don't want to happen is that when it is out of warrenty that I will have to go through the same mess trying to source a replacement burner. Does anyone know what the burner is in this machine. A sony or a pioneer and how easy is it to replace and will they still be making them in a couple of years time. How easy is it to replace the harddrive?
