Try remux to a mkv using tsmuxer. Just choose one audio stream. Click on tsmuxer for guides.

The audio stream you want is probably TrueHD which the PS3 does not like. TSMuxer has an option when you demux/remux teh audio streem to only rip the Core AC3 from the TrueHD stream. This works for all of my Blu-Rays.

When you get to a Blu-Ray with VC1 video you will need to convert to h.264 before remuxing. Do a search on encoding VC1 to h.264. I use RipBot264.

For HD you need to grab the large .EVO file (probably two of them) with TSMUXER (add first then append the second) and select the video stream(make sure you remove the pulldown) and audio stream and mux to a m2ts. From there you will need to convert the EAC3 audio to AC3 with eac3to and the video from VC1 to h.264 with ripbot264 and then remux them together. The video conversion will take 8-10hrs.

TsMuxer does HD-DVD? I thought he would need to use EVODemux
