  1. I removed one of my hard drives and ever since I can't get any of my drives to work. I have a blu-ray on sata and a dvd drive on IDE, and in my computer I see only "cd drive", and it doesn't open discs of any kind, even CDroms.

In Disk Manager I don't see the drives either, but they show up in Device Manager.
    I'm using windows 7.

How can I get my blu-ray working again?

  2. I'm not sure if reinstalling/updating the motherboard chipset will help.remember you are dealing with a bata OS.a lot of things could go wrong

  3. How do you update the chipset? Do I need to install the botherboard's driver ?

    thanks

Did you remove the Master hard drive? If so did you set up another as Master? If they are set up as slaves they would need one to be a master. Check your hard drive documentation to show how the jumpers should be set to make your main hard drive the master.

  5. The only drive I have in the PC right now is an ancient IDE drive, and I believe it's set to master, because it's connected to the end of the IDE cable.

  6. So what I have now is master HDD, slave DVD drive, and sata blu ray
