    Sourcefiles:
    CD1: 699Mt, 512*384, 115kbps 1h 11min 57s
    CD2: 698Mt, 512*384, 115kbps 1h 09min 54s

    Totally 1,36Gt and 2h 20min 51s

I have tried to use Corel Video studio 12 to delete unwanted material and add some effects to film, but everytime I have "finalize"" the film to XviD my result of convert is:

    Totally filesize 2,03Gt and 1h 15min 42s

In corel draw is an option that use same settings than video, but if I use them it doesn't start to convert, error accessing audio codec or something...

I have tried varius xvid settings: (using same framerate and videosize 512*384)

and even target size setting to about 700Mt, still my video upcomes ovet 2Gt

After convert picture looks like unthouchable, but size is way too hgh that I hope, If i take half of total lenght of video, I hope that filesize is small too =)

another thing.... I have tried this with single pass, same thing, not helped, but I haven't edited the "statsfile", I just found way to use two pass coding option just making that .pass file or something to xvid folder...

How do I manage convert these files and some files in future to size I want to?

Try virtualdub or avidemux. Under video and audio choose direct stream copy/copy and you don't need to reconvert.

If I do with it that, does it have to take cut from keypoint?

If you use the newer versions of VirtualDub and enable 'Smart rendering', you can cut where you want and it will only re-encode at the cut points.

If you use the simple 'Direct stream' copy method, yes, you do need to cut on the keyframes. But with Xvid the keyframes can easily be 300 frames apart. This makes frame accurate editing difficult. This is a common problem with most highly compressed codecs, which is one reason they are not good choices for extensive editing.

If you do have to re-encode the whole file, it will need to be larger to make up for encoding losses. That's if you want to keep about the same quality. But I would try 'Smart rendering' as a compromise and the file should end up a similar size as the original.

But thats why I'm willing and wanting to use that Corel video studio, 'cause it doesn't look like that "stupid" when changing from one frame to another if the "picture" is somewhere else when changing frames, some nice effect between that. I have tried that I'll take parts with vd and keyframes and encoded with that in corel video studio, there I have pinched from videosize and gained wanted avi-size, but encoding is successfull somethin 1 times out 10.

In corel video studio, there is ready to use encoding for WMV:
    24bits, 352*288 30fps

That has worked nicely, but I'm not totally satisfied to video quality and some videos are laggy when usin "windows media player chapters points", about 0,5 sec still image bedore video starts rolling...

My version of VirtualDub: 1.5.10.1. (build 2366) so little out of date =)
