The AccessDTV Digital Media Receiver is the card you need. It will let you record HDTV shows to your hard drive(a hour long show eats up about 9GB's) and it will let you record shows at a later date like Tivo. The card ain't cheap(I paid $380 for mine)and the Tivo like guide costs $10 a month but the first month is free. AccessDTV card also encryptes the files you capture to your hard drive so your the only one who can watch them and so you can't re-encode them.

The HiPix card captures HDTV signals but does NOT encrypt them.
There's a free program floating around which lets you convert the files to MPEG (HDTVtoMPEG2.EXE). The program is still in development.
Can't wait till we get HDTV where I live.
