upload and convert 1 step

i am wondering if there is any way i can upload a file to a server and have it convert at the same time. (not me oppening the file into FLASH FLV CONVERTOR) and manuaky do it?

ffmpeg should work fine for this. What exactly doesn't work? Can't compile it? Or something else?

i am not sure y it does not work. i just coud not find documentation that make sence.

is there something to install on the server?
