OK. I need to learn ways to do this from the ground up. Not like you guys have ever heard this one, I'll wager.
I have an older miniVHS recorder with a digital side screen. I have the cable for output to the TV. From the single lug jack on the camera it splits to dual a/v male plugs, the circular white and yellow ones. On my laptop I have Roxio DVD Creator and Windows Media.
What I want to do. The cheapest, most resourceful and least cumbersome way of recording video without a tape to either my laptop directly or to a memory card of some sort.
And . . . GO!
