    Has anybody a firmware to make the DVD listed bellow region free:

    HL-DT_ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B

    I need to make it region free to rip DVDs I brought from Europe. I found something (https://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters/lg-gwa-4164b/1239) but I always get an error that the firmware does not match my DVD drive. I have the same error with another DVD drive in the same computer (Dell).

    you can try that firmware but it's at your own risk.

    Of you can use MEDIA CODE SPEED EDIT to make the drive region free.
