Hi All,
Just wondering what is considered a good editing program for some simple home editing. I am currently using Adobe Premier Elements 7, it's a good program to use but would like to use something with a bit more options, a bit more upmarket..
What should I be looking for.. Pinnacle ??
Thanks for your suggestions..

If you are finding Elements restrictive then the next step up would be Premier Pro CS3 (4 ?), Vegas Pro or Ulead MediaStudio Pro. However unless you truely know Elements inside-out, you may find that there is a learning curve.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm finding that Elements has a problem with the footage sound getting out of sink, very noticeable when someone is talking.. I'm looking for more text options, Scene options and effects..

I'm using a Canon HV30 and a SVP HD Vid camera I had a couple of issues with the footage from the SVP camera but that was sorted out..

It might not fully support high def video. I know that the basic version of Pinnacle Studio doesn't support high def video.
You might check the adobe website for a high def plugin if it needs it. You might need to pay extra for the plug in or it could be a free upgrade.
Worth a look at least before buying new software. (again this might not be entirely the problem but something to consider).
Speaking of plugins - regarding the audio it might be ac3 audio and the current package of adobe your using might not like that either. It too could require a ac3 plugin. That is just a guess but since you haven't posted details about the video file itself this is all we can do. (you can post a screen shot of the file using gspot to give precise detail about the video and audio of the captured footage).Donatello - The Shredder?
