I think my rockband guitar isn't in great shape anymore. The fret buttons have always been a bit sticky. And the strum bar doesn't seem to respond the way it should.
Do places like Game Stop offer repairs for Guitar Controllers? I'd rather not have to buy a new one as it still works its just not in tip top shape. Also the whammy bar seems to have lost its edge as well....
Please note this an original Rockband 1 xbox 360 controller that I bought on the original launch date (last year was it? - I had a preorder for the full instrument package).
Also I'll try to search online for some self repair techniques. I don't want to start unscrewing the thing only to find out if I put it back together it won't work right.......
Thanks.....
EDIT - after a little surfing on google I found one site that has repair mechanisms for the rockband controllers:
http://www.maxaxxe.com/
They are 10 - 30.00 depending on the part.
I'll keep checking. Heck if a used guitar at gamestop is no more than 30.00 than I MIGHT be tempted to simply replace the whole unit. Then if that has similar issues I could just return it to the store since I'd have a receipt.....
EDIT 2 - I was just at gamestop.com and they had xbox 360 rockband guitar controllers for 20.00 used..... Hmmm..
Also I found Mad Catz now has Rock Band 2 CYMBAL add ons. I wonder if that would work with Guitar Hero World Tour?
