Hi! I hope someone can help me with my problem. I have a DVR-112D from PIONEER and the latest drivers installed, but it won't read or burn any DVD.
When I try to read a DVD (a movie I bought not one that I burned) I get a message that says that I don't have the right region to read the DVD... but I have! The DVD player is set in region 1 and the DVD is set to play in this region! I don't understand anything... I tried to watch it with widows media player and BS player but it's the same error message. I don't know a lot about computer, do you think that some codecs I installed would interfere with my player or DVD?
And when I try to burn a DVD, I get a message that there is no disc in the driver... I tried it with different type of DVD but it doesn't work either...
I hope someone can help me... tx

  2. hi and welcome to the forums!

did the drive ever work? is this a new problem or has it always been like this? a 112d is a couple years old so the problem could be many things, including a dead drive.

if it's a new problem what did you do right before it started happening? add new program? uninstall old program? virus? trojan? other?

In fact, since I got the drive I never really watch any dvd or tried to burn one... lol I mostly played video games. I think it's been a year that I have it now... maybe more.

installing codecs can cause problems. try installing VLC software to see if it'll playback your dvds.
