    Im rendering .mov files into mpeg2 in Sony Vegas 8 .
    When setting (VBR) min bitrate to 8mbps average to 12 and max to 15mbps - it still comes out with an average bitrate of 5mbps.
    Does anyone recognize this problem and what to do?.

    just a guess but maybe your source material doesn't have enough video information to get to the bitrate you specified.

    hmm maybe, there's a lot of black usually in the files im working with.
    Thing is i've tested in adobe premiere and it has no problem keeping the set average bitrate values. Really prefer working in vegas though.
