Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits are error detection/correction data written along with the normal data on a disc. If you are getting CRC errors, one way or another, the drive is having trouble reading the disc.

Sorry about my typing nmistakes...
If I try that file with another dvd drive - changing brand(sony/benq etc), then any chance to copy? -
If the drive is having problems, then yes, another drive may be able to read the disc.

Always use a ripping program to transfer DVDs to your HDD. If they are older discs, or unprotected discs, use DVD Decrypter. If they are newer discs, use DVDFab HD Decrypter. Both have error correction built in, and will do a much better job that just dragging the files around in windows explorer.
Also, when you take a screenshot, paste it into Windows Paint, save it as a jpg, and load it directly into your post. Do not use Word documents to post images. They are needlessly large, can carry macros and other dangerous features, and are a pain in the arse.Read my blog here.

Those discs don't perchance, have sticky labels on them, do they?
I'll get that error when trying to copy over files from my old discs that have labels on them.
(that was back before I knew not to use them)
-
Removing the sticky labels usually fixes that problem. I use Goo Gone followed by dishwashing soap and water.
-
I soak them in a bowl of very warm water w/dish soap, pick off the label and then copy them over to my hdd.
I have an old, external burner that's not good for burning anymore but still reads OK that I use to copy them with. -
Hi,
that disk is not so old & I'll try to clean that disk but labels is plastic, perhaps not possible to remove, thanks.
Another Q: I've bought 10000 BC (locally), but it's not running in any dvd writers!!!
But, in dvd rom it's running. I've tested in 2 laptops & in my desktop ASUS dvd writer. But in my ASUS dvd rom it's running? Any idea why?

These errors basically mean it can't read the data, regardless of what it is, to the drive its just data
Commons problems are scratches, dust and the favourite greasy fingerprints, even if it 'looks' clean it won't be
Give the surface a wipe with a cotton or lint free cloth and try again. Personally I use a cotton sock and just breath on the surface as I'm too tight to buy 'correct' fluid
If it still has problems then I try my DVD burner to read the disc instead of my DVD-Rom. That usually works, but if it doesn't then you have to try something else to clean the disc surface better or it may be too badly damaged to read -
Ok step thanks for advice.
But, what bout 10000 BC? I copy all vob files in HD. But
1) after finished convert from .vob to mpeg, It's giving microsoft error which has 2 buttons "send or don't send".
2) Also when remake dvd with GFD, it's also giving same error!!!
And it's can't make the IFO/BUP files...So, I can't burn it...
what kind of problem is this?
