Do you have a 64 bit version of Vista? 32 bit programs don't work as well under 64 bit Vista as they did with 64 bit XP. Here's a thread on the "fun" someone had getting LAME to run under 64 bit Vista. If you have a 64 bit version of Vista and think that this might be the cause of your problem, this thread might be of help to you.

I am just guessing because I have never used Alltoavi.

With Vista, you want to R click on the installer program and select 'Run as administrator' most times. This will help with installs. I haven't tried AlltoAVI, but it shouldn't have any problems with V32. Don't know about V64, but it's not commonly used with computers that have Vista preinstalled, especially the home version.

You may want to uninstall the program, then reinstall if you didn't use the 'Run as administrator' on the installer. You can also use the same method when running the program, but that's usually not needed.

If none of that works, maybe some conflict with another program is causing the problem. Check with AlltoAVI's site.
