Service to edit 4 minute video

I have a 4 minute video. It was recorded on a Kodak playsport video camera. Somehow this video has been distorted/corrupted. It plays back but the audio has a constant and loud static noise throughout it. The video also is slightly wavy and distorted. It seems as though the video has some sort of frequency added to it that distorted the audio and video (I have tried numerous softwares/computers for playback and the issue is always present). I have been trying to find a person that would attempt to clean up the video file but have had no luck. Would anyone be willing to consider looking at the video file and letting me know if they think it is salvageable and what they would charge to do it. Thanks a ton!

join a filesharing service and upload the ORIGINAL video. post the link here and let people know the filesize. it will most likely get looked at for you.

The filesize is 357MB. I could crop the video down to a smaller size if someone needs, but this is the original.

don't need smaller... the sharing site must use old fashioned 56k modems though, it may take a couple hours to get.

The camera has a really bad rolling shutter problem.

You need to learn to hold the camera still when shooting. Or use a tripod. VirtualDub's Deshaker filter has some rolling shutter compensation but I don't know how well it works.

I don't know what the deal with the audio is. The right channel is way over modulated and has a lot of noise. The left channel is ok though.

wow that camera is atrocious. it must have some sort of really bad software image stabilization built in and a bad mic. what is it so i never consider one?

i deleted the bad channel, duplicated the ok one, and trimmed the messy walking with the video cam out. this should at least give them something to be able to watch.

Thanks for your help. It is a Kodak Playsport Zx5. It was bought just for its underwater capabilities. I've used it for some other videos and none have turned out this atrocious. Maybe my initial running around triggered some sort of stabilization feature like you mentioned. Lesson learned to never use this camera again. Thanks again.

you can turn it off in the camera settings. you might try pushing the reset button also and see if the mic problem clears up.
