  1. If I have a concert that, has two options, to play it in 2.0 stereo and 5.1 dolby, but I take few videos out of it and delete them, together with their ifo and backup files, will it still remain playable in 5.1?

How are you going to take out the videos? What software?

I would use dvd shrink in the reauthoring mode and save as a new dvd. And if you just want one vob file(no ifo, bups) I would just keep the 5.1 audio track or else might your player choose the 2.0 stereo track as default.

  3. what do you mean? i mean, if I deleted manualy, certain parts, together with their ifo and bup, but I left the rest as it was.

  4. Download and install DVDshrink, and try it.

DVDshrink let you pick the movie( all or segments ) with the sound track you want, and burn it into a new DVD for you. No complcated script, procedures, steps to worry about.

You cannot do this on DVD and expect it to play. There is a whole structure which take care of DVD content. Deleting one or more files with Delete in explorer will disrupt the structure.
You need software like Shrink or other to do what you want.
IFO and BUP for one VTS is just info for that VTS. The DVD structure is in VMG.

If the entire concert is truly in 5.1 and 2.0 and you have an editor that allows you to save the edited result without changing the type of audio, then, yes this should be possible. Your question is very vague so we can only give vague replies that probably you can do this. However your plan to delete IFO and BUP files may be a bad one depending on how the DVD was made.

  7. Thank you but, I don't know if you understand me. This is not on an official dvd disc, this is something I downloaded. And besides I already deleted the videos I didn't want, as far as I see, I don't get what to do with this DVD shrik programm, to just save the 5.1 settings too.

You are not going to loose audio in other VTS, because both streams are encoded in each one if applicable.
Question is how you want to play result after?
Do you want to burn a DVD or what?

  9. I just talked to someone and I was told, that If I delete other files, the Menu wouldn't work. but then I need to create, a defferent menu? i'm trying, with nero and i have this question, if I make a menu, how do I make my concert to play without stopping, after each, chapter ends? I won't it to play, so it would, when the first part ends, it would continue automatically, to the next, and than the next again.

Are you talking chapters or different video files?
Nero Vision can produce DVD with a simple menu to play it all.
That is a reason everybody suggested DVD Shrink.
You load you original in, go to Re author mode, take out what you do not want and burn DVD, that simple.
    That software is free.

  12. No, i had a dvd, that has a concert in chapters, and other files with videos, that didn't belong to it, them are the ones i deleted, I only want to have the concert, And not nessecery with a menu, just so power dvd, would play it all, witout stopping. that's it.
I don't want to re author my video, because it might loose quality.

Power DVD is not playing chapter, but individual VTS since you do not have DVD structure. If you make chapters in video the DVD will start at chapter you go to and play from there to the end of movie(DVD) without stopping.
If you re author without a compression, you will not loose quality, not that you would be able to see.

Nobody say you need a menu, but you need structural commands to play DVD.
If you re author in Shrink, you will not have a menu either.

  16. But what's the difference, what is dvd structural commands? you mean right now I don't have it?

It all depend how complex DVD is.
If it has more than one VTS, which look like it does, than it start to play First Play from there it will go to VMG (Video Manager) and either a menu or some VTS title to play. If you delete any VTS which is in that order, not accessed by menu, than DVD will stop at that point.
You can read some about DVD in "What Is" on left side of this page.
