Zune update 3.0 - GAMES and wireless store downloads

YEP just got the ZUNE 3.0 update installed.

This is cool. Finally got games for the zune. There is a tetris type game and a texas holdem game that comes free. Haven't had a chance to check out more.

But the real cool deal is that with the wireless connection you can now DOWNLOAD FROM THE ZUNE STORE TO THE PLAYER DIRECTLY!!!!

Yep microsoft is catching up to the itouch and iphone with direct downloads. Mind you I only have the 30gb zune 2 not the 80gb model. So the upgrade is fully backward compatible. This is a nice little bonus.

I'm gonna have fun checking out the new games for the zune

Absolutely useless feature (for me at least since there's no radio stations that play anything other than pop crap). Kind of like built-in wi-fi with no internet browser. Oh wait...

At least they're catching up with adding games (something iPods have had for years now) and direct downloading (which has also been around for a while on iPhones).
