    Im looking for a video related chat (generally the stuff convered on this forum), dosent have to be a chat for specifically this website. Just anything where people know about encoding captureing burning video etc.

    In the old VCD/SVCD times there were quite few IRC channels and even one server dedicated to it, but all of'em died out and I don't know of any active IRC channels today.
    Generally I'd say most of internet users that joined "the web revolution" in past 10 or so years have absolutely no clue what IRC is They only know MSN Messenger and such, I'm afraid even setting up simple IRC client like mIRC is beyond knowledge of average computer user nowaday.

    You're late at least 10 years :P
