I have a video which is kinda messed up. It is already in widescreen 16:9 format, however the image is still stretched vertically so I need to compress the image even more.

The original ratio is 2.35:1 and what I guess happend was that it was stretched all the way to 4:3 and then converted to MP4 using 16:9 but left it at 1.85:1.

How can I get it back to 2.35:1?

  3. You can manipulate and re-encode video as many times as you want. The quality will decrease each time if you use lossy codecs. Try using AviDemux.

  4. Use TMPGEnc and select Clip Frame.
