How do you edit a picture (lets say a cut out face for example) into a video (lets say a person walking towards you)?

How to edit the cropped/cut out face and paste it on the person's face in the video?

If possible could you tell me here or show me a tutorial that is similar to this or something?

PS> I use after effects so if i need any plug ins, could u tell me what i need?

You can do it all in the After Effects Pro Bundle. The tools you need to learn and work with include the tracker, to track the face of the source subject, masks to extract the new face from the still and to put it over the source, and keyframes, as you will have to manually adjust and clean up the track and adjust for scale, rotation and depth changes. It is easy to make it look crappy, but it will take time to make it look good. There is no simple work around to it.

For ulead video studio 11.5, is it free and is it easy? Is there a tutorial to do what im asking or will someone be willing to help me?

and could someone (or gunslinger) show me a video of what gunslinger said? Like an example video of what it might look like just to see how it might look like?

    thanks

There is nothing free that will do this for you, and I can guarantee you that it is not easy. It is in fact quite hard. After Effects makes it easier but not easy. Now, of course, it depends on what you want the result to be and how long the video is.

If you want the result to look real you will eventually have to individually do every single frame of your shot, probably in Photoshop or a similar piece of editing software.

If you are happy with a peculiar looking face hanging in front of the person you are "changing" the face of, moving slightly differently than the original person (you said (s)he was walking), then After Effects is going to make it less painful than most other solutions out there costing less than $10,000. I think After Effects is less than $1,000, but check Adobe's site.

You could also do it in Photoshop CS3 Extended - frame by frame.

i DONT want it to look so professional as in the cropped image to be exact proportions to the body. I want it to be like the America's funniest home video's kind where the host pastes his face on a person's body (u guys know wat im talking about right?). This enough is good.

You have after effects. You don't need any plugins to do it.

Drop your video into a comp

Drop the image as a layer in the same comp

Add a mask filter to the image layer and mask out everything but the face
Keyframe the position and/or scale of the image layer to keep the face in front of the subject

If you are feeling particularly adventurous and are willing to read the help files, you could use tracking to follow the subject and make shifting the face simpler. Otherwise you will just have to track it by hand.

Note : funniest home videos do not use after effects and anything you will have on your PC.

Finally, typing "face replacement in after effects" into google came up with hundreds of options, including many tutorials.

It is just another compositing app. Nothing special, reasonable value for the money (at the low end - the full bundles are pro priced). You could also use Combustion.

Regardless of your aggressive and very spam-like first post, the tools do not do the job for you, and this type of composite is not a one-click job.

You could also do it basically with Premiere. Same considerations as with After Effects mentioned above, depending on how good you want it to look.
Basically, put your main video on Video track 1 and your cropped face photo on Video track 2. Use motion effects panel for the face image to change it on the timeline with regards to size, position, rotation, etc., by using key frames.
After Effects is better but Premiere is quick and simple.

    nothing funny on it.
I never said it's better than after Effects.
but still it can be done with Ulead Video Studio without much struggle as the same way with adobe premier as kimco52 suggested.
