    Hello ,

1st of all i want to appologize for any bad grammar or spelling misstakes ..my english still needs improvement !
For my sake i just hope u will all understand what i want to say

I recently got a brand new Canon HV30 that i want to use for live video streaming over the internet (i think that's what it's called) ...or i could just simply say i want to use it as a webcam.
At 1st i had a problem connecting it to my PC using it's USB port ...so i took it to an authorized Canon service center where they told me that i just simply need to connect it to the PC through a FireWire cable and it will work. So i did , i baught a PCI adapter card with FireWire inputs for my PC since it didn't have that ...and i connected the camera.

As soon as i connected the camera Windows Movie Maker opened up and i had a pretty good video quality preview ...good quality , nice colours , etc ... But that was only the preview in MovieMaker ...because afterwords i tryed to use it as a webcam on a very well known messenger service (don't wanna advertise) and the quality of the stream was really poor and full of horizontal stripes (i think that's what they call INTERLACE) if there was any movement in the frame.

Is there any way i could solve the problem ? ...Any settings on the camera that i could change to make it better ? (i already tryed to change it from HDV to DV and back to see what happenes but as soon as i switch it over to HDV the computer doesn't recognize camera anymore ...its like im turning it off ...so HD standard is a must , i can't use Full HD)

Is there any filtering software that i could use to deinterlace and / or broadcast the stream ? (i've heared something about VLC beeing able to do this ...is that right ? )

PLEASE HELP ME ...THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT !!!

PS: im sorry for any unnecesary information & details that i gave but i'm not very good at this .. and i just wanted you to have the full picture.

    THANKS !!!

Set your camera to 25p cine mode. This will make the video capture with no interlacing. Look in the HV30 instructions on how to do this.

Here's a good guide to using your camcorder as a webcam http://chris.pirillo.com/2007/05/30/how-to-use-a-camcorder-as-a-webcam/
