Hi All, first post. Some of my DVDs will play sometime, but will not play all the time. If they do not play, they will just keeping spinning with no response. I tried cleaning the DVD with a spray, and the lens with a CD cleaner. I still get no response.

I am also trying to copy and burn some DVDs with "Magic DVD Copier." Some of my DVDs will copy and burn using their system. But when I try to play some of the DVDs that were burned, they can not be read. They guided me to you guys to help me find out what you users think about the burner and media I am using. How do I find out what burner and media I am using?

Does it happen with both dvdr and commercial dvd movies?
Are you copying commercial dvds? or just home burned/captured dvdrs?

Only the Commercial DVDs. I have not tried playing any home burned DVDs. One minute a commercial DVD will play with no problem, a few minutes later when I try to re-play it, it won't play or pick up.

I would check for a loose or bad cable. If the cable is ok then I would suspect the burner.

Get rid of that program and use dvdfab hd decrypter to rip, and burn with imgburn.

It would also help to include the burners make and model, and the media in use.

Also include the play back programs you have tried.

Also try disabling "auto play" for the unit involved, this has popped up before, more in relation to nero's incd utility being installed, but still worth checking.

Rather strange that they themselves would point you in this direction ... means they have no idea
