    Is there a freeware programme for converting from MP4 to MPEG2, DivX etc that will work under Vista x64 Ultimate?

    i would think just about any encoder would, though you might have to right cliick/properties/compatibility/run in compatibility mode - or whatever vista uses as such.

    maybe start with vlc, avidemux, or mencoder/automen
