I have a Zone four player that was sold to me under false pretences. The salesman claimed that it played all dvd zones. Unfortunatly I only recently put a zone one dvd in there and it will not play.
Suffice to say I am not a happy camper. Could anyone give me instructions in how to go about multizoning it?

There are no hacks that I know of for any BluRay players. I have seen a very few BluRay players sold in the USA that have hardware modifications (which makes them cost about 60% above the normal price) that allow BluRay playback in zones A & B (but not C) and DVD playback in regions 1 & 2 (not 3-6). That's all.

I thought according to NZ law it was illegal to sell DVD players, and a BluRay player IS a DVD player, that were region locked. If so, surely you would have the right to return it as it was sold under false pretenses. If you bought this in another country, you may be out of luck.
