To set a DVD player to Region 1 and 2 only?


I only want to play English and Japanese DVD's so I only need 1 and 2


I've heard some DVD"s won't play on Region "0" players

Depends on what DVD player you have. You can find some info at http://www.7thzone.com but it varies from player to player. Also while it's true some DVDs won't play on region zero players, you can find region selectable players (ie. can set any region you want). I've never bought from them but http://www.dvdcity.com seems to be popular. If you're talking DVD-ROM, than take a look at the DVD Hacks links to the right (as well as 7thzone). Luck
