So I have a friend in Japan who is looking to purchase an HDTV, use it in Japan, and then bring it back to the US when she returns. Neither she nor I are well-versed in the HDTV broadcasting restrictions and other technical details and were wondering if a Japanese HDTV would even work back in the States. If not, does anyone know of any companies that would ship a US HDTV to Japan, or is that against some importing regulation?
