  1. I have a problem.. I bought a 12 foot dvi to component cable on ebay to hook my video card up to my tv (my dvd player uses the dvi port and the only other input i can use is component) but the image is showing up all scrambled. I downloaded a couple programs like powerstrip to try and play with different refresh rates and resolutions but nothing seems to be working. this is my tv: http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/equipment/735/hitachi-46f510-46-inch-hdtv-monitor.html

my video card is a radeon x800, i'm connecting it to my tv through the dvi port on it for secondary monitors. any help you can give me would be great!

sorry I forgot to mention that the cable is actually a component to vga and i am using a vga to dvi adapter on it to connect it to my card. not sure if that matters...

  3. Make sure the computer is sending a resolution and refresh rate your TV supports. The manual should give the details. Try something like 1024x768 at 60 Hz.
