    Hello everybody

I have a set of six DVD-9s of music concert.
So I want to re-author them and burn on DVD-5s.
Firstly I wanna get rid of extras like comments. Secondly I want to exclude some parts of it like built-in ads. It takes much space and time. (ads come in middle of VOBs)
Finally I wanna make a compatible DVD with menu.
Could someone advice me what software (freeware is better) to use and how to make it? (step by step plz)
I have experience with Virtualdub but as I know it mainly works with mpeg4.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, DVDShrink is easy to use and can easily shrink from DVD-9 to DVD-5. It's not difficult for inexperienced users to use it and there are many guides on the internet about it. Probably even some here at this web site in the Guides section.

DVDShrink has some limited ability to get rid of some parts of video, but I don't know if it can do what you want. Getting rid of the ads should be easy. Getting rid of the comments might be harder. If DVDShrink can't do that, then you will have to edit out the comments yourself and then shrink the DVD.

CloneDVD with AnyDVD does a good job. Also, DVDFab does a good job too.

Thanks guys unfortunately none of the mentioned programs does the job i want. They can only remove precautions and chapters that are structured. What I need is something that can cut (anywhere i want) and delete needless fragments of VOBs that are not structured.

video redo can do this, and seamlessly merge all fragments. It is often used for stripping commercials.
I've had good success with it.
