I was not sure where to post this question but .......here.
My friend uses Windows Media Encoder 9.0 to broadcast audio to the internet from one main XP machine, this works no problem.
I'm helping upgrading his hardware, so we setup a new XP Pro pc next to the "old" one, installed WME, configured exactly as on the old pc, it does modulates but when we check the website nothing comes up. Obviously for the test we unplugged the audio cable from the old pc into the sound card port on the new pc, but again no audio on the net, when you open the link on the internet it doesn't even start buffering at all.
This sounds like a very simple configuration, what am I missing?
He uses Winamp on both pcs.
Again, on the new pc you can see that the bar moves up and down on the left so it is modulating well.
We also started Winamp and played the mp3 audio on the new pc but having WME on the old one (feeding the audio through accordingly) and the old one also works fine and the audio is broadcasted.
Please help...!!!
