If ripped w/ dvdfabdecrypter (with or without 'remove layer break' checked), how do you find out where the layer break was originally positioned? Is there a tool that will tell you? I don't mean like how Imgburn gives you choices, I mean is there something that tells you exactly where it is on the disc? Will Pgcedit, or something like it? Is there a guide someone can point me to?

    Thanks 8)

Imgburn is enough and all you need.

Its and older and unsupported application now but IFOedit will let you look inside the movies IFO file, the layer break will show. Having said that with todays
copy protection mechanisms these too will show as a layer break. However with some careful reading you will see the correct one.

Imgburn looks at the same information and presents several options around the original. A fantastic program you can't really go wrong.

When ripping DL, rip as an ISO, and save the MDS file (contains layer break data).

Maybe I should've been more clear. With a disc is ripped in file mode, not ISO or anything else, I want to know where the layer break is on the orginal disc. Imgburn will give me options, but how do you know which one of those is the original? Some might say those are all good enough, so 'Why do I want to know?'. Well, I just do.

Thanks. Another question about that. Does that mean I have to uncheck the 'Remove layer break' option in dvdfabdecrypter? Normally I use it w/ it checked. I'm guessing that removes the layer break information ifoedit would need in order to see where it is...

    Thanks again.

You cannot find out afterwards, you can only choose the best fitting.
