    Hi all,
I've been trying to encode an avi file to mpeg2 with the ability to switch between wide and full screen settings (default as widescreen) and i had at one point figured it out but haven't encoded in a while.

I'm using xilisoft to do the conversion but no matter what i do it doens't work.

I've made the sure the video is set to its original .avi size 624x352 and in aspect i've set it as 16:9 and i've set the zoom as full (keep aspect ratio) but it just won't work when i put it in dvd lab pro 2 it says its aspect is 1:1.

A fix would be much appreciated.

    thanks

The video must be resized to 720x480 and be set as 16:9
if you want DVD-Forum compliance. However I do not know how
to translate this into Xilisoft's conversion settings.

try to stay away from xilisoft as a converter as it is not really that great at compression

A great program i recommend that is easy to use is Riverpast Videocleaner Pro
