Well I'm getting a 30Gb black Zune for Christmas...I was wondering what type of videos extensions it supported. Also, if I download videos off of Stage6 will I be able to put them straight onto the Zune? Or will I need to convert them? If I need to do conversions can anyone recommend free software that will convert the .divx file to something the Zune can play?

Well my .divx files didn't import into the Zune software so I'm assuming they won't work. I'm trying the Divx conversion software to convert it to "mobile" format. It doesn't give the extension though. Any help would be nice.

While it's still within Christmas return time, take it back and get a Creative Zen or an Archos or something. Liking my Zen Vision M 30GB for only $100, but there are newer models too. Have to convert AC3 sound, but many divx/xvid play without any work at all. A newer Vision W or Archos might play the AC3 without any modification as well, haven't checked since this does what I wanted anyway..

Great to be able to throw straight to the player, and plug into anyone's TV/VCR to show them stuff, with no burning discs etc. I mainly got one to give my mother for Christmas, so I can put TV shows on from my recorder and she can watch without having to fool with discs, but so good that my relatives are wanting them for their kids now. Just so much easier to load one of these up now and then with their movies and not have to remember a bunch of DVDs. Just plug it in the AV jacks in the in car DVD and go..

Of course all of their full DVDs do take conversion to Divx, but that was expected. I'm liking mine so much already that I will likely see if one does do AC3 with no conversion, get it, and give this one to my brother's kids for car trips. And 30GB will hold about 3+ seasons of an hour TV show at 350MB or so per ep, so is plenty to watch for a while..
