I hope im in the right section, but here I go anyways.......
Here's the sceneario, I have a encoder card that works fine, I want to be able to time shift my recording so I can send it over to my video server that is running WMS (Windows Media Services) I've tried VLC, but theres a issue with VLC and WMS so that dosnt work.
I have a feed that comes from europe, that I want to time shift 8 hours to make up the delay.
Any ideas?? I would like to keep it all software based so I don't have to buy anymore hardware. I'm sure that theres a way, but I can't seem to find a good one.
I've tried SDP and I've recorded my own stream so that I can replay it in WMS, but when ever a user selects the playlist again, they start at ZERO, and go forward, so they would be maybe 8 9 10 11 12 hours off instead of just 8.
I'm sure theres somthing out there that can do this, I'm just too tired and to [s:5cda8d65b5]drunk[/s:5cda8d65b5] consumed into my work to focus hard enough.
LOL
thanks in advance to all sugestions.
The satchmo...........

I'm confused as to what exactly you are trying to do. It sounds like you are already able to capture the video and save it. How are you trying to alter it?

Actually, I think I figured it out, but here's what I was doing.
I have a feed that I want to time shift X hours, THEN publish it using Microsoft Media Services, but I couldnt figure out the best way in the least amount of steps.
So.....
I found a program called ICVCR that will do scheduled reacordings, so i set up multiple recordins that start at the same time the other finished, the reason I did this is so I wouldnt have one MASSIVE file that. So now I have 4 files that I can add to a global publishing point via Broadcast and it will just keep going on and on, until it hits the end of the folder, but it wont because files keep getting generated, so all I have to do is start the Publishing point exactly X hours for the timeshit.
Thanks anyways.
