  1. I realize theres probably better suited message boards for this elsewhere on the internet, but I just like this one. Anywhoo, I just got Guitar Hero 3 on Xbox 360. It came with the old wired white guitar controller from guitar hero 2. The problem I've been having is that after pushing the button on the controller there is a slight lag before the game recognizes the input, making it very difficult to play. I have played guitar hero 2 on my system before with a buddies guitar and game which worked fine. SO my question i guess is if its the guitar controller thats the problem or is it a problem with the game? Has anybody else experienced this problem before? Should I return it and hope that the next one works better? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Where did you get it? Seems rather odd that it came with the GH2 guitar. I have not had any issues but I use the Wii version. Are you using it with an HDTV? I know in the Wii version there is an option to calibrate the game to your TV.

  3. I just got it yesterday from Wal-Mart....i didn't even notice till I got home that it came with the old Guitar, needless to say I was a little dissapointed. I guess that explains why it was only 88 bucks rather than 100 like it normally goes for...in Canada anyways. I'm just using a regular TV with the normal AV cables.

  4. As far as I know, I've always seen the Guitar Hero 3 bundle come with a wireless controller. I know the previous versions come with the wired ones. If you bought the Guitar Hero 3 bundle it should have come with the wireless guitar, unless I'm missing something here.

Why not return it and exchange it for the wireless model? They did just come out with the wireless 360 controller finally. Though I only have rockband for the 360 and its wired.

But like was previously mentioned go into the settings menu and choose video. There should be an option somewhere to calibirate your lag time. It may take a few tries to get it right but you will get it eventually Enjoy.

  8. So apparently I'm just retarded. The reason I was having problems with my Guitar Hero 3 was due to the fact that I had my XBOX360 connected through my DVD recorder/VCR which I guess caused a split second lag. When I connected it directly to my TV it works perfectly. I play all my other games with it connected to the VCR but never noticed a problem. I guess since GH3 is all about precise timing, thats when i could notice it. I can't believe it took me this long to finally figure out the problem. Thanks for everybody's input on this one.
