  1. I've been trying to capture aprox 5min of footage for a project but I keep having the same probs.

it drops a hell of alot of frames (86 captured 592 lossed)

when it doesn't drop so many frames the video size is verry small
and when enlarged to 640x480 or full screen (800x600)
    it looks like.....lego

    this is what I have:
    Windows XP
ATI All in wonder 128 pro
    Ulead Video Studio 5
    AMD K6/2 500mhz
    RAM: 640mb pc133
    and 5gig of free space

  2. I to have a 500 on my box with an ATI radeon AIW.

I can tell you, if you are trying to capture in a size above 352x240 you are not going to be able to. Why? Not enough CPU.

Capturing is very CPU intensive. If I shutdown every non essential program running on my computer I can capture 100% no frames dropped at this resolution. If I go higher the dropped frames increase almost proportionately to the increase in size.
