I have a few training DVDs that I got from my office that I need to review. I'm going on a flight, and I wanted to review them while I travel using my wife's Archos 704wifi portable media player.
I tried to use CloneDVD Mobile 1.1.6.0 to convert the file, but I got an error early in the process stating that it couldn't complete b/c it was an amateur DVD or something to that effect. I tried it again with the same outcome.
What can I do to convert the DVD into an avi? I can always convert that file later into a file compatible with my archos, so that's not a problem.
The DVD has 4 tracks on it, each with a different "course". So, If possible, I'd like to have each track to have its own file.

use dvdshrink to re-author the dvd into the 4 separate movies. once you have each set of vobs use vob2mpg on each set to convert them into mpeg-2 files. the 704 will play mpeg-2, no need to change to anything else. (it will also play vobs but they're a little messier to name and move around then mpgs.)
