    Hello everyone

I have been using a burner called Cheetah DVD Burner, which never really gave me any problems, but recently I kept getting a lot of write errors, and I wasted like 5 DVDs while trying to burn data (music, videos, and text files) into them.

So, can you guys recommend a good burner that would let me burn data and audio folders (music, videos, and text files) into DVD, preferably one that is free and reliable? And can recognize foreign text like Japanese...

    Thank you!!

is that hardware or software? a burner would be hardware but i've never heard of a cheetah brand.

if it's software the best would be imgburn (it's free by the way)
    if it's hardware - maybe a pioneer 112 or 115

either way bad burns are usually the result of buying bad media. try using a decent brand like verbatim. the other possibility would be a dying burner.

Before trying other burning programs try using dvdrw and test with imgburn.I had a similar problem and other programs had similar errors in burning,I took apart my burner and cleaned the transport and laser eye which were getting fairly dirty with grit.It did fix the problem.

Might not fix your problem but it wasnt software related that was causing the bad burns.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Thanks guys! I was looking for a software, as my hardware is just fine. ImgBurn sounds promising, so I will give that a try now. And hopefully that works well.

Oh, Cheetah is a burning software program: http://www.cheetahburner.com/ It wasn't too expensive, so I bought it, but I should have purchased nero or something.
