All I wanted to do was play back a couple of WMV files, but DRM keeps getting in the way.

So far, attempts to remove the DRM using Tunebite have proven fruitless. How do I just get these files to play? Damn WMV...

Hey nilfennasion, according to the rules here,
    Fair use / Backup
When you own the media, they are the rights you get automatically DESPITE what content providers or laywers might tell you. These rights are fully supported by the crew at VCDhelp and are the basis for most of the site. These fair use rights evaporate when you sell the media in question.

It should be ok to post this ,I hope.....

As pointed out above, FairUse4WM will open and save the files without the protection IF you have a valid license. If you don't have a valid license/key then there is nothing that can be done. Delete them and find another copy.

    P2P-shared WMV-p0rn is DRMed, but
    Web-distributed WMV-pr0n is not. 8)
