Hello,
Recently I was checking for my emails on Yahoo.com and a window poped up with an ad for some burning software that it is capable to reproduce the DVD format and capacity into a CD-R. The URL is this: http://www.rankyou.com/ads/cpt/yahoo_dvd/ Is this some kind of fraud? Does someone outthere know something about this? is it some "joke" to get credit card numbers?![]()
Thanks,
luisdaniel1.
P.D.: It is not my intention to sell or promote this software. I'm just curious because it doesn't make much sense to me....![]()

There have been other post about his. Basically, we know it
isn't possible so....that means it is fraud. My guess would be that
they package up alot of the free ware that we all use (dvd2avi, TMPGenc...etc.) and then sell it to the unsuspecting hoards with
a instruction manual. Maybe they have some nifty GUI like DVD2SVCD...
in any case it is certainly a rip off.

It's a all in one software. I guess this is a DUP-DVD .

If it works??? I don't know. I newer gonna buy it. I need all the fun around ripping, encoding and authoring.
You can get the same for free. It is the "DVDx" with a very good encoding engine. -
Hmmmmmm. very interesting. I wonder what the encoding quality is like....has anyone tried this?

See, I am unimpressed with DVDx. I don't think the encoding quality is that good and I have had MANY crash issues with it (not to mention weird .ifo misreading errors....Mel Gibson's head looked like a banana in The Patriot....) An all in one solution that had the quality of TMPGenc would be appreciated....hmmmm.....I'll have to see if I can't give that software a test drive.

Interpolet - interlace is the secret.
You can first ripp with what ever you like to the HD and use DVDx for the rest. It works well, just giv it a try.
Other who had tried DUP-DVD says the software is bugy but a later ver. can be very good. -
If I'm going to rip to my HD and then use DVDx I might as well do DVD2AVi->TMPGenc. It's either an all-in-one or nothing. As far as I'm concerned there is no all in one VCD solution that can rival DVD2SVCD.....it is a pretty amazing program.

Yes, but you need any encoder as I know, something like CCE. It isn't free.
Ok, I'm actually not ripping just authoring VCDs and DVDs. I have tried many solutions and for me DVDx is the easyest way to go. I found the best settings and the result is just good. But I'm not a ripping expert and maybe others can get better results with other softwares.
I have tried the latest CCE and I was just wondering how the VCD encoding quality is. And it works fast. The video behind the Cinemacraft stamp is just perfect. If you use it with DVD2SVCD ..... It beats DVDx. But it isn't free. -
???See, I am unimpressed with DVDx??
Strange I have had perfect results!, with VCD's
( almost as good as the DVD, )
Must be something to do with "your" hardware?. -
That Dup-DVD ..
Is absoult crap... Sure it works very well and its true that all it takes is one click and you can convert DVD to VCD Or SVCD...
I tried the trial version, which only lets you do 1/4 of a movie... When i played it on my DVD player the movie was had lots of scan lines heaps and heaps of flicker and the colors where all washed out.
I dont recomend this program to anyone.. Flask with the panasonic plugin is the best! its easy, I say that cause i'm a total beginer...
Its cirtanly not worth the money they are asking for.. TMPGENC does a better job and THATS FREE!! ..
