hellow I'am new here and need hint and clue and anything that solve the problem.

we all know that dvdcomposer is good one for authoring dvd.

I live in south east asia, region 3 of course.
    so...
my problem is, whatever I've made a dvd with dvdcomposer, my Dvd Player didn't play it correctly!
    and some other won't play!

I tried to play it on PC using K-Lite codec, work well(even still had some noice problem).

and I think the problem is on the regional setting. but...
how I can set the regional setting in dvdcomposer???

till this minute, I still didn't find it!!! (of course ('-.-))

    well, thats all
and so much thanks for your clues guys...

Unlikely to be a region code problem. More likely to be a format (PAL vs NTSC) problem. Can you play a commercial DVD that has been ripped and processed with DVD Shrink ? If so, region is not your issue as Shrink removes region codes.

When you say it doesn't play correctly, what exactly do you mean ? Describe the symptoms. When it doesn't play at all, what error message does your player give ?

Very few authoring tools set the region code (DVD Lab Pro does) because it is not required for home made DVDs.

    thanks for replying
    ...

    what I mean is..
the project(dvd movie) that I've made, can't play well on DVD Player that could be watch on Tv.
    and some other won't play.

the ISO file work on Computer and can played it well.
but didn't work on Home DVD Player...

I thought is about the regional setting, but if you say so...

Dvdcomposer is a good tool that can encode a DAT file to VOB without resize the amount of the file size.
much better than Adobe Encore Dvd.
(even AED has the ability to work with Adobe After Effect)

Do you know what the problem is(my problem)?

    ....btw,
thanks for your sugestion with Dvd Lab-Pro. I'll try it!

"hope you understand what I mean..."
    (sorry for the bad english)

    Your English is fine.

Check the project settings and look at whether or not you have created a PAL or NTSC project (PAL uses 25 fps, 720 x 576 resolution, NTSC uses 23.976 or 29.970 fps and 720 x 480 resolution).

    .......(still don't get it (x_x)!)

    let's just make it simple...

all I want is, how to make a 4.7 Gb dvd with lot of movie inside?
cause, I have couple of series video(anime) with .DAT file type.
and then, I want those file become VOB/VTS(Dvd) that playable on my..
Home Dvd Player with such around 20-24 chapter episodes.

is it realy need rezing the video resolution?
I mean a Home Dvd Player is only can play at 720x480?
    ...?

    thanx for your clue guns1inger

    Have a read of this : https://forum.videohelp.com/topic159399.html
    or this : http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/convert/vcdtodvd/vcdtodvd.htm

They are both similar in tools and techniques, and will do the job without re-encoding the video.
