    Ok i am trying to use nero 8 to burn 2 video files i got off the net. Which are
    [DB]_Bleach_144_[BD8CEA9A], and [DB]_Bleach_145_[E67450ED]

    I went to the properties, and the series of numbers, and letters seem to be the format of the movie which nero 8 can't read i tried converting them into iso files, and burning them to a dvd, but my dvd player, or xbox360 won't read ither..

    My question is am i missing a step, or do i need to convert the video file into another format? I would like to find some tutorials, but there's so many i am not sure what to look for..I wanted to stick with nero cause it's supposed to create the dvd menu on it's own. I just wanna get the basics down first.

  2. You are missing so many steps it is hard to know where to start.

    Downloading files of unknown type and quality would be your first mistake, unless you had already picked Nero, which would be your second. It sucks, except as a burner, of which there are better ones for free.

    First, learn what is required to make a DVD. Then learn what is required to massage files into that state. Then learn 47 different procedures for different file types. Lastly, learn just exactly what it is that you have downloaded.

    Right now, you do not know what you have, what you want to end up with, or how to get there.

    Tutorials for all are right here on this site. I think you can list them alphabetically. Start with "A".

    Ok well i was poking around, and found out it's an avi format file, I have been looking at tutorials a bit, and i noticed that most of the files consist of bup's ifo's and vob's..I just wanna see if my thought process is correct..I would take the avi file into a program to get it split, and formatted in the way it is in this guide here http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/40/59/ then i would be able to burn the files, and play them on my dvd player is this correct, or is it not quite that simple?

    edit: Well i got ConvertXtoDVD i put the avi file in, and just let it convert seems to work fine in my xbox 360, and dvd player. Is there anything else i should know about formats, or anything in particular i should research?

  4. I would research the difference between "encoding" and "split and format".

    I would also look into why it is that programs such as you are using are considered cheap, low-budget, low-quality crap fit only for the lazy person who does not give a damn about quality and just wants to put video on disk.

    To do this will require time, effort, and thought.

    For what you apparently want to achieve, the program you have found is probably your best answer.

    Bleach == animé

    If so, it might be a good idea to look for specific help @
    rec.arts.anime.* But do not become very disappointed if some
    trollhunters happen to immediately label you as a troll ---
    happens all the time (yes, I have already been there...)
