I'm having a problem with DVD's that i made and burned freezing up. Here's some background info on it. B/c i'm not really sure where the trouble point is.

    1. I shoot video with a Sony Handyman HD Camcorder. (This is one change, my previous camera wasn't HD)
    2. I capture the video using Pinnacle Studio Plus 10. (The program i always used, but now instead of capturing in .avi it captures in .m2v)
    3. I do whatever editing and stuff i need to. Then i render it as a wmv file for a clip to watch on my computer. (the clip looks and plays fine) Then i render it as a mpeg-2 to use to make a DVD (the mpeg-2 plays fine on the computer as well)
    4. Next i use Sonic My DVD to create a DVD using mpeg-2 files. I create a "master" to make further copies. The master plays in my DVD player.
    5. I use Nero to make additional copies. And these copies sometimes freeze in other DVD players. Also the copies seem to be most prone to freezing, nearing the end of the movie.

I just started researching this in the forum today and got some hints.
    1. Use high quality media. Verbatin DVD-R 16x (I thought i was using high quality with HP or Memorex DVD+R)
    2. Slow the write speed to 6x.

So this is where i'm at right now, and if anyone has any suggestions and help please let me know.

Yep, try first another media. Freezing at the end of movie is usually because of "bad" media. And try also another burning tool like Imgburn, it can copy and burn.

Are you converting the wmv to mpeg-2? because you should try to avoid reconverting the video as much possible so it would best to import the m2v directly in sonic mydvd instead.

Thanks for the input. No i use the original .m2v to convert to .wmv as well as mpeg-2. But i haven't tried using the original .m2v in sonic, i always imported a mpeg-2 file.
