hi, i was wondering whether some1 cud help me, im tryin to burn video files e.g. .avi files to a dvd disc so that i can play this on my dvd player. i tried using nero but this took agggggggeeeeeessss, coz it first started decording or encoding or whtever it does and this took abt 3 hours for just a flippin 700mb video, so i was wondering does any1 kno a quicker way, note that these videos are not copyrighted in any way at all, and are not dvd files there just download films.

if your player doesn't play AVI files, there's no option but to reencode + author as Video DVD. Only file length (in time), not source file size (combined with how fast your computer is) determines how long that process will take. Try convertx2dvd - it's pretty fast, and pretty good (for an all in one converter).
3 hours looks like a rather ordinary conversion time to me, if we're talking about a 1.5 - 3 hour video, and a fairly recent computer.
