Hi !
I have AVI's movies with black stripes above & under the picture, to fit a regular TV screen (in french, we call that format 4/3... "letterbox" in english ?)
Instead of encoding an mpg (with TMPEG) with those stripes, how can I select only the central screen, and then encode a widescreen MPG (like regular widescreen DVD's) ???
Is there a way to select only a part af the AVI you want to encode to mpg ???
Thanx !

If the source is in WideScreen and you want it to be in FullScreen you just select under Advanced under Video Arange Method: No margin(keep aspect ratio) and TMPGEnc will then cut left and right so it will fit FullScreen.

In fact, I want the contrary : I have a "letterboxed" video (mith margins above & below the screen), and I want to take these off, in order to have a full widescreen movie (and NOT cut right & left !)
Am I clear ?! (sorry, I'm french)
Thanx
Lionel
